With an investment need in the water and wastewater sector estimated at the level of the whole of Romania at over 22 billion Euros and huge challenges in the process of compliance with the European Directives in the matter, the European funds available under the Sustainable Development Program - approximately 3.4 billion Euros - will represent the main source of financing for investment projects for compliance - phased projects and new projects - in the period 2021-2027.
